TWLOHA is about community. It is a group of peers aiming to support one another, as well as the community at large. TWLOHA is about love. We are lovers, and we are loved, every single one of us. TWLOHA is about hope-- hope that tomorrow will be better than today, hope that life can and will get better.
TWLOHA is about finding the will to carry on, and that is why I'm a part of it. Through personal struggle with mental illness, depression, and suicidiality, TWLOHA has reminded me that it's okay to be alive.
We aim to do exactly that on campus: remind people that it is okay to be alive. We are all special, and we all have a unique story to tell. TWLOHA Creighton wants people to know that. We want people to know that it's okay to struggle, and that when we struggle together we discover that things get easier.
Most importantly, we want to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health issues. It's okay to be a little crazy now and then. Heck, it may even be normal. TWLOHA Creighton aims to show people support and show them where to get the help they need.
In summary, we are an organization about love, hope, and support. We aim to create and provide community. And, we are made up of broken people looking to help other broken people.
